Product Description
The Callaway idTECH Rangefinder provides range information during a round that allows a golfer to club correctly regardless of up/down slope of any shot. The newest addition to the Tour Authentic Series is used by pro staff and caddies to make yardage books when mapping a course. idTECH has a measurement range of 11-550 yards and contains incline/decline technology. After acquiring the range of your chosen target, idTECH will display the actual yardage and the additional or subtracted yardage amount to correctly club the shot.

Designed for fast, simple, and accurate range finding, the Callaway idTECH provides the distance to the target with compensation yardage for inclines and declines on the course. With a measurement range of 11 to 550 yards, the idTECH will display the actual yardage and the additional or subtracted yardage amount to correctly club the shot. The idTECH features a built-in external LCD screen that displays range, angle, and compensation yardage for incline/decline carries. The rangefinder offers quick one-touch measurements as well as successive distancing to different targets while you keep the measurement button depressed. Meanwhile, Nikon's Target Priority Mode ensures that the rangefinder is on the correct target. Thanks to Nikon multi-coated optics and 6x magnification, the idTECH provides great close-up views of distant objects. Built to last, the idTECH is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed to protect the optics. The idTECH carries a one-year manufacturer warranty from Callaway Golf.

Great rangefinder - but a little expensive
By M. Kincade
Got this a couple of months ago for an anniversary present (thanks, honey!).
I have really enjoyed it. Small enough to pack away, but sturdy enough to feel solid in your hand. Gives accurate readings from inside about 300 yards; I have not had any trouble picking up a flagstick from those distances, and it generally is good about finding distances to hazards, etc.
It's helped me shave off 3-4 strokes off my score; I am now down to bogey golf. Getting my exact distances down with my clubs has allowed me to be more aggressive on par 3's and approach shots.
The slope feature is also nice; the LCD on the side displays the distance and the height differential, and you add or subtract the height from the distance to get your true shot distance. The info stays on the screen for 30 seconds so you can refer back to it as needed.
Carrying case is sturdy, and battery life has been good so far. Still with full bars after about 15 - 20 rounds with it. The front cover has a velcro piece at the top and a snap at the bottom, so you uncover the eyepiece to use it and flip it back up to protect it.
I would highly recommend it if you don't mind spending the $$. Once the price drops and the newness wears off, it'll be an even better deal.

Poor rangerfinder for the money
By U. Patel
I purchased this thinking that between Nikon and Callaway you couldn't have a bad product. Well i was wrong, the range finder has a hard time picking up the flagstick, especially when there are trees behind it. It will give you the trees distance rather than the flagstick. I compared this to my friends bushnell 1500, and his was able to pick up the flagstick quicker and distance was accurate. I had to keep scanning to get the flagstick, i knew I got it because the yardage was on par with the bushnell. It is NOT worth the money.
If you play on courses with no trees behind the green, then this may work for you. But otherwise go with the bushnell.

A complete waste of Money
By Catherine Masterson
This rangefinder is usless, it gives you 2 distance readings and the degrees between them and then makes you calculate the yardage! Buy a Bushnell, their slope reading rangfinders do the math for you and display the calcualted yardage based on the slope. Nikon support is also horrible and Callaway should drop them. I took mine back and will never buy another Nikon rangefinder again.
